During month 8...
This month, Emory and our families celebrated her first Thanksgiving. My grandparents came in town and we had lots of fun family time. She has fully mastered sitting up on her own and is so close to crawling. She is starting to say a few words like "dada" and "baba". I only hear "mama" when she is eating. It's more of a "mmmmma" :) but I can hope for "mama". She loves when it is time to eat and even does a little head bobble dance when she takes a bite. It is really cute. She has become such a happy baby.
Getting so big!
Sitting pretty :)
Happy Thanksgiving! Trying to get a pic with cousin Colton
She got a new chair at Grandma and Grandpa's. She is not so sure how to sit in it yet. Ha!

Sweet girl.
Month 9...
We got a crawler! She took off this month. She finally got those knees up and there was no stopping her! She is all over the house and is beginning to get quite fast! She quickly went from crawling to pulling up on everything. I dont think she will crawl long and will be walking before we know it.
We also celebrated her first Christmas this month. I think she was a little overwhelmed with all the presents. She wasnt quite sure what to do with them at first, but quickly figured it out! We spent Christmas eve over at my parents and Christmas day over at Nathan's parents. Two great days full of family fun!
Shortly after Christmas, Emory got a new addition to her wardrobe. She has to wear a cranial helmet for a couple of months to fix her head shape. She had a very stiff neck when she was really little and would only lay over to one side which caused a little flatness on the right side of her head. We have been doing neck exercises, which have helped, but she still needs a little more help with the flat spot. The only way to help it at this point is the helmet. She does not seem to mind it at all, which is really good, and helping her head shape can help with ear infections later. It also helps to have a helmet on when she bumps into the table or wall :).
Playing in her toy box
Oooooo...look at the lights!
Christmas morning with new toys everywhere!
Playing in the packages at Mamaw and Papaw's house
Saw her first snow. She really enjoyed watching it.
Got a rocking horse from Grandma and Grandpa.
Waiting to get her helmet
How do I look?
Trying a lemon. A little sour I think!
Sweet cuddles with mommy.
Off she goes!
Daddy is so funny!
Figured out how to splash
Month 10...
It seems as if she has been teething for months and they finally came through! Within two days she had one tooth pop up and then another. We could feel them down there for a while, but we are finally able to see them :)
In that same couple of days, she began to take some steps on her own! She has been standing up on her own in the middle of the room for about a week and then decided she wanted to go walking! She is still a little wobbly and only takes about 3-4 steps at a time for now, but I'm sure she will get the hang of it fast.
She is now saying words like "mama, dada, baba (for bottle), puff (her favorite snack), and blae (for our dog blaze)". She loves "b" words! She also lets out squeals of happiness all the time. Very loud, but very glad to see her so happy.
Silly Girl!
Found Daddy's hat when cleaning out the closet.
Playing at BuyBuy Baby

Moved to the big bath tub!
Squeals of happiness :)

She knows where Daddy comes in...is he here yet?!?
Hi!
Happy Valentines Day!!!
Night Night...
Month 11....
There is no stopping this girl! She got her balance and has figured out how to walk! We hardly ever see her crawl now. She is getting quite fast too. She enjoys walking all over the house from the living room, to the kitchen, to the study, to her room, where we keep her favorite thing right now...books! She can not get enough of her books! I think she would play with them all day. We even have to hide them to get her down to sleep or she will reach and say "book" until we read one.
She has added a few words to her vocabulary like "book, baby, bite and bubbles". Of course still stuck on those B words!
Emory loves to eat! She enjoys all flavors of her baby food, but really wants to eat what we are eating. Even though she still only has two little front teeth, she manages to chew/gum and eat table food. We have not found one food she does not like. We hope it stays that way too! She still has her bottle but will soon be switching over to real milk. We just hope she is not allergic to it like she was to regular formula.
Emory also graduated from wearing her helmet. Her head shape has improved a lot and the doctors were very pleased with her progress. We have tried to go back to bows, but she is not having it. She pulls them off immediately. Maybe we can get her used to them again :).
Off she goes!!! (While talking on the phone :))
HAPPY EASTER!
The Easter Bunny Came!
She was not a fan of the grass in the basket :)
A few days before Easter Papaw and Mamaw took her to take pictures with bunnies.
She liked to pet them.
Long day wore her out. (This is how she sleeps in the car now)
Muah!
