Memorial Day Weekend

Our Memorial Day weekend started with Emory's first trip of many to the lake. We went down Friday and relaxed all day. It was very nice. Emory spent a lot of the day cuddling with Daddy :). Saturday morning my sister, Jeff and cousin Colton came down to play, and then my mom and dad joined us later in the afternoon. We really enjoyed being back out at the lake again.

She really liked the swing down there.

Slept lots with daddy.
s
Woke up for snack time

Then back to sleep

Cousin Colton came to play! He loves "baby Embory" as he calls her :)
 Fun with the hose.

Emory went swimming for the first time! She wasnt crazy about it at first, but then calmed down and was just fine.

Ready to go!
 Quick pep talk from dad...
 Not too sure about this...
 Now we are ok!
 This is kinda nice
Everyone in the kiddy pool :)
First mini swim lesson from mom.
Out and warming up in a towel...
 ...with dad of course.
 Telling dad all about it!

After swimming she practiced holding her head up with Papaw.
New favorite sleeping position. So Cute!
 Great time at the lake!

We came home Saturday evening, since Nathan had to work Sunday. Then Monday we had our parents come over for a cookout. During the day, we tried out sitting her in her highchair. She really liked looking out the window!

Nathan went out to cut the grass and she got so excited watching him. The video quality is not great but you can see her hands and feet going :)

After a long weekend, Emory was exhausted. She actually slept a full 8 hours Monday night!!! Hopefully this is the start of her sleeping through the night! :)

Night night sleepy girl!

One Month Old!

Has a month passed already??? How did it go by so fast? Emory is getting bigger and changing every day. She is growing out of her newborn look more and more. I took a picture of her in the same place as I did two weeks ago so you can see how much she has grown already.

She is awake a lot more recently and beginning to follow sounds and toys and smile at me :). So sweet! She is still a good sleeper too. She is sleeping about 4 hours at a time at night now. We have been working with her on her "tummy time" and she is getting quite strong. Our days are pretty much the same but have actually gotten out of the house a few times, which is nice!

Out and About...

Still loves her passy

Sweet Dreams!

This is how we often find her sleeping...touchdown!

My Grandma Reed came to visit this month. Emory is her 7th great grandchild and number 8 is arriving anytime now! We are so glad GG came to see us.

First Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was great. We started by going to church with the Martin side of the family. Well actually, my grandma, aunt and uncles were in town for my cousins graduation, so there were several Reed's here too. During church, I finally got to stand up when the pastor asked for all moms to stand to be recognized. I had been wanting to do that for a long time! After church, we went back to my mom's house for lunch. I have to admit it was a little weird being told "happy mothers day" at first, but definitely something I can get used to :). After spending the afternoon at my mom's house, we then went to Nathan's parents house for dinner. We are so blessed to have our moms here in town to be able to spend mother's day with them! We can't wait for Joann to get here in June! Here are a few pictures from our day. Happy Mothers Day! :)

NEWBORN PICTURES

Now that Mother's day has passed and the gifts have been given we can finally share Emory's newborn pictures. She did not want to sleep during our session, so it took some time, but we got some really good ones. I cant believe how much she has grown already.
